XOX, Betsey Johnson is an inside look at one of the fashion world’s most iconic and over-the-top designers.  The series follow Betsey in her struggle to re-launch her brand with the help of the Steve Madden Company, after a 2012 bankruptcy that ended more than 30 years of Betsey being her own boss.  Betsey is being forced to reinvent herself at the age of 70, while her daughter Lulu is attempting to do the same, starting her own fashion line and attempting to step out of her mother’s shadow.  But the fact that Betsey lives directly above Lulu in the same building makes this feat nearly impossible and hilarious to watch.  Their tumultuous relationship is put to the test by their tightly intertwined personal and professional lives.
