London, September 15, 2011 – FremantleMedia Enterprises (FME), the brand extension arm of FremantleMedia, has entered into a partnership with leading independent television producer Litton Entertainment, securing the worldwide distribution rights (excluding the US) to a slate of four new Litton series.
FME will launch Jack Hanna’s Wild Countdown, Ocean Mysteries, Everyday Health and Culture Click at MIPCOM in October. Currently airing on 95% of ABC Affiliates in the US, Litton’s all-new, high-definition, half-hour series focus on high impact subjects like ocean and land animals, health and wellness, and the digital connections between global cultures.
Jack Hanna’s Wild Countdown (26 x 30 minutes) features renowned wildlife expert Jack Hanna’s favourite animals and adventures from around the world in a variety of Top Ten countdown categories sure to entertain and educate viewers about our world’s fascinating animal kingdom.
Ocean Mysteries (26 x 30 minutes) is hosted by popular Emmy® Award-winning Jeff Corwin who, along with a team of experts from Georgia Aquarium, takes viewers around the world and below the surface to reveal the countless animals that inhabit fresh and salt water environments, allowing viewers to connect with aquatic animals and appreciate their importance to all life on our planet.
Everyday Health (26 x 30 minutes) is a powerful and emotional programme with the goal to help those who are inspiring change, hope and progress in the field of health. Hosts Laila Ali, a world class athlete, Ethan Zohn, a former professional soccer player, and Jenna Morasca, champion of Survivor: The Amazon, will inspire viewers to make a difference, celebrate the power of courage and to inspire big changes, one small step at a time.
Culture Click (26 x 30 minutes) is a hip social studies experience hosted by Nzinga Blake, a rising star from E! Entertainment. Culture Click is a highly interactive journey that evokes curiosity about our world. Produced in a stylised new magazine format, Nzinga will teach in a completely modern environment, collecting information from different decades while focusing on subjects that are prevalent in our changing society.
